Joining the ranks of Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, The Script, and other international music heavyweights who will be having concerts in Singapore this year is American Pop-Rock mainstay, Maroon 5!
The band, consisting of Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton, and Sam Farrar, will touch down on our sunny island on Monday, 28 Nov 2022, at the Singapore National Stadium, as part of its 2022 world tour.
Ticketing details will be announced nearer to the date of the concert, via LiveNation.
Maroon 5 has previously performed in Singapore multiple times, the last being its 2019 concert, also at the National Stadium, in support of its Red Pill Blues album.
The six-piece also performed at the Singapore Grand Prix twice, in 2012 and 2015.
JORDI: Maroon 5’s Latest Album
Maroon 5 unveiled its latest album, JORDI of 2021, which boasts some of its most popular singles in recent times such as ‘Beautiful Mistakes (ft. Megan Thee Stallion)’ and ‘Memories’. The latter being one of the most-streamed songs among Spotify users in Singapore in 2020, with the song currently standing at over 1.4 billion plays worldwide.
Besides the band’s recent chart-toppers, it has also churned out several other well-loved numbers such as ‘She Will Be Loved’ in 2004, ‘Sugar’ in 2015, and ‘Girls Like You (ft. Cardi B)’ in 2018 since its inception in 1994.
Maroon 5’s Various Achievements
In recent years, Maroon 5 ranked as the 94th best artist of all time based on Top 100 Artists of All Time at Billboard Hot 100 55th Anniversary which took place in 2013.
In August 2018, Maroon 5 was ranked 37th and 11th on Billboard’s Hot 100 60th Anniversary Greatest of All Time and on Billboard’s “The Top 60 Duos/Groups of All Time” respectively. In January 2020, the band was number nine on the Billboard Top Artists of the 2010s chart, memorialising its impact on the music that shaped the last decade.
Prior to JORDI, Maroon 5’s 2018 studio album Red Pill Blues featured the global hit single ‘Girls Like You’, which reached number one on the Top 40s charts, number one on the Adult Pop charts, and stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks. The track accumulated billions of streams on Spotify and YouTube, and notably became the most-watched video on VEVO in 2018. The band’s hit single ‘Memories’ has also seen similar success.
Maroon 5 has more than 45 million Spotify listeners per month and they have played over 120 concerts internationally, selling more than 6.7 million tickets worldwide.
